PETALING JAYA: National women’s doubles shuttler Yap Cheng Wen wanted to prove herself in her first tournament with a new partner but it did not go according to her plan.

Cheng Wen and Anna Cheong went down fighting 21-13,18-21,17-21 to top seeds and world No. 30 Amalie Magelund-Freja Ravn in a one hour and 23 minutes women’s doubles quarter-finals in the Spain Masters in Huelva yesterday.
