Yap’s All-England debut goes up in smoke, no thanks to ankle injury


PETALING JAYA: A troublesome ankle has ended doubles shuttler Yap Ling’s hopes of making a debut at the prestigious All-England badminton tournament.

After waiting 14 months to make a return to international competition, no thanks to the Covid-19 pandemic, the 20-year-old Yap Ling and partner Teoh Mei Xing, were eagerly looking forward to a trip to the Arena Birmingham next week for the All-England.
