PETALING JAYA: Independent shuttler Liew Daren (pic) is faced with a logistical nightmare but he will not let it affect his preparation for the first-round battle against Danish world No. 3 Anders Antonsen at the Yonex Thailand Open today.The 33-year-old has been informed by Malaysia Airlines (MAS) that his return flight to Kuala Lumpur on Jan 22 has been cancelled, leaving him to ponder on the next-best alternative to get home.

“I’ve received an email from MAS a couple of days back informing that my flight has been cancelled. I was shocked to be told that the next available flight is on March 1, ” said Daren.
