PETALING JAYA: All-Indonesia Badminton Association (PBSI) have taken a proactive step by proposing to the Badminton World Federation (BWF) to defer the Indonesian Open by three months to September.
The US$1.35mil (RM5.88mil) tournament, which is the second richest meet after the US$1.5mil (RM6.53mil) World Tour Finals, is scheduled for June 16-21 at the Istora Senayan, Gelora Bungkarno in Jakarta but the organisers are not taking the risk as there are still concerns over the Covid-19 pandemic.
