Kisona completes fairytale run to claim gold in women’s singles


MANILA: Shuttler S. Kisona (pic) completed her fairytale run at the Philippines SEA Games by defending the women's singles gold medal for Malaysia.

The 21-year-old defeated Indonesia's Ruselli Hartawan 20-22,21-14,21-13 in the final at the Muntinlupa Sports Complex on Monday (Dec 9).

The victory saw her retain the title won by Goh Jin Wei in Kuala Lumpur two years ago.

Her medal brings Malaysia’s tally to 45 gold at SEA Games 2019.
