PETALING JAYA: Tan Aik Quan-Lai Pei Jing stunned sixth seeds Danny Bawa Chrisnanta-Vanessa Neo of Singapore in the mixed doubles first round of the Indian Open badminton championships in New Delhi.

The unseeded Malaysians scored the 21-12, 21-17 win in 36 minutes on Wednesday to set up a second-round clash with Macau Open champions Edi Subaktiar-Gloria Widjaja of Indonesia.
