Jing Xuan opens season with silver at Singapore Open


No rest: Ng Jing Xuan will compete in the upcoming Varsity Track and Field 1 meet at Universiti Sains Malaysia in Penang from April 17-19.

PETALING JAYA: National javelin thrower Ng Jing Xuan made a promising start to her season by clinching the silver medal in the Singapore Open held at the Singapore National Stadium yesterday.

Jing Xuan recorded a throw of 47.49m to finish second behind Indonesian Atinna Nurkamil Bahtiar, who won gold with 49.86m. Indonesia’s Kresensia Mobok Ndiken settled for bronze with 41.15m.
