Tireless Poad going the extra mile to prepare sprinters for challenge up north

You’re in good hands: Coach Poad Mohd Kassim with sprinter Khairul Hafiz Jantan.

PETALING JAYA: Sacrifice is often part and parcel of life in sports, and for national sprint coach Poad Mohd Kassim, it means travelling 800km between Kedah and Kuala Lumpur to prepare the country’s sprinters for the SEA Games in Thailand this December.

Poad has been officially reappointed as sprint coach, but will only serve in a part-time capacity as he remains committed to his role at SMK Tunku Anum in Kedah.
