Azeem aids Auburn University to sprint team gold in US meet


PETALING JAYA: National sprinter Mohd Azeem Fahmi continued his fine form when he helped Auburn University win the 4x100m relay at the Louisiana State University (LSU) Invitational in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on Saturday (May 3).

The Tigers' team, represented by Azeem, Israel Okon, Dario Matau and Makanakaishe Charamba, sprinted to the gold by clocking the fourth fastest time in the NCAA in 2025 with 38.49s.

University of Arkansas took silver with 38.82s while Georgia University completed the podium by posting 38.88s.

The team previously won gold in the Tom Jones Invitational with a time of 38.39s on April 19.
