PETALING JAYA: Simon Lau continues to show that he is more than just a coach to middle distance runner Umar Osman.

Simon not only coaxed Malaysian Athletics Federation (MAF) to pay for the SEA Games champion’s lodging at Singapore Sports School (SSS) where he is training but also forked out about $S2,000 (RM6,800) from his own pocket to provide daily meals for the runner.
