Azeem sprints to fifth in 100m final at world junior meet

PETALING JAYA: There was no fairytale ending for sprinter Mohd Azeem Fahmi as the Malaysian missed out on a medal after finishing fifth in the 100m final at the Under-20 World Junior Championships in Cali, Colombia on Tuesday (Aug 2).

Running in lane 8, Azeem completed his century sprint in 10.14s as the race was won by Letsile Tebogo of Botswana who clocked 9.91s to create a new world Under-20 record.
