Much ado about swine

BEFORE you read further, let me warn you. This article is about pigs. Yes, that hoofed mammal with a large head and a long, unforgettable snout as well as a curled tail. So if, for whatever reasons, you are offended by pigs, boars, hogs and any other animals belonging to the swine family, then you are strongly advised to stop reading right now.

The reason for the above disclaimer is to warn those amongst us suffering from swinophobia. Yes, “swinophobia” is an actual phobia. As you can probably guess, it is the fear of pigs. An irrational fear, as no pig has ever harmed a human being in our country. It is as if our society is plagued by a major swinophobia problem.
