Urgent need to address adolescent behaviour and wellness


THE Malaysian Paediatric Association (MPA) expresses its deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathies to the family, friends and teachers of Irene Sofiya Mohd Khairool Faisal, the 16-year-old student who was tragically killed on school grounds in Yong Peng, Johor.

As an organisation dedicated to the care, protection and advocacy of children and adolescents in the country, the Malaysian Paediatric Association is deeply concerned by this senseless loss of life as well as the broader pattern of school violence involving minors that has recently come to light.
