Standing together, especially when times are difficult

AS we commemorate our 69th National Day today, let us pause to reflect on the meaning of “Merdeka” and the responsibilities that come with being a free and sovereign nation.

While Malaysia has made significant progress over the past 69 years, today we face a challenging environment: Economic pressures, geopolitical tensions, climate change, environmental challenges, technological disruption, serious corruption, and social problems are creating new challenges for our nation.
