THERE is a familiar rhythm to how education reform arrives in Malaysia. A new plan is unveiled with considerable fanfare, the right words are spoken about future-ready skills, and a launch ceremony marks the occasion.
The National Education Plan 2026–2035, introduced earlier this year to replace the Malaysia Education Blueprint 2013–2025, has followed that script. Its ambitions are sound. Whether it succeeds will depend almost entirely on implementation.
