A salute to Malaysia’s Fire and Rescue heroes

I WISH to express my sincere appreciation and gratitude to the dedicated men and women of the Fire and Rescue Department of Malaysia for their invaluable service to our nation.

Every day, these courageous individuals stand on the front lines of emergencies, ready to respond whenever duty calls. Whether fighting fires, rescuing accident victims, responding to floods, saving lives during natural disasters, or assisting communities in times of crisis, they serve with unwavering commitment and professionalism.

The work of our firefighters is often dangerous and physically demanding. They willingly enter situations that most people would avoid, placing themselves at risk to protect lives, homes, businesses and public property. Their bravery and selflessness deserve our highest respect and admiration.

Beyond emergency response, they also contribute significantly to public safety through community education, fire prevention programmes and disaster preparedness initiatives. Their efforts help create safer and more resilient communities throughout Malaysia.
