WHEN a child struggles in school, the problem is usually attributed to poor motivation, attention or behavioural issues, or low academic ability. As a result, these children are labelled as “slow learners” and would most probably be referred to schools for children with special needs.
But there is another aspect to the problem that is currently being overlooked – vestibular delay, a condition, often in children, where the development or function of the vestibular system is impaired or slower than typical.
