WE are a plural society, with people of different origins, confessing different religions, speaking different languages, yet we manage to live together relatively trouble-free as one big family in Malaysia.
Our schools are a shining example of this diversity. Besides the teaching of our national language and English, Mandarin, Tamil, Iban, and Kadazan languages are made available as vernacular languages.
