I REFER to “No plans yet to impose congestion charges” (The Star, March 26) on Transport Minister Anthony Loke’s announcement that there will be no congestion charges in Malaysia’s cities for now.
Priority should be to improve the quality of public transport before congestion charges are introduced, Loke said, adding that developed countries only implement congestion charges after having a good and efficient public transport system.
