INTERNATIONAL Day of Older Persons, which is observed annually on Oct 1, was special this year because we witnessed the launch of the much-awaited National Dementia Action Plan (NDAP) alongside the National Action Plan for Health Services for Older Persons.
The NDAP was conceived in 2019 during the Alzheimer’s Disease International Asia Pacific Regional Conference held in Kuala Lumpur.
