Boosting global academic presence

DESPITE boasting a growing international student population and globally-ranked universities, Malaysia’s academic voice on the world stage remains relatively muted.

This is particularly noticeable at prestigious events like the upcoming International Education Week, where Malaysian academics are conspicuously absent from keynote and panel discussions. This longstanding issue has been a source of concern for me throughout my three decades in the field.
