THE call made by the Badminton Association of Malaysia’s (BAM) coaching director Rexy Mainaky for a winning mentality among BAM shuttlers is a timely one.

Winning is not easy to think about and even less easy to go out and do. But for athletes, it’s what drives them to perform and strive hard. Like it or not, winning is a huge part of sports. And it is not enough to just talk about it because winning is a mentality, that must be instilled in the minds of the players.
