Can proposed wage model revitalise economy?


WE need more details on the progressive wage model (PWM) that Economy Minister Rafizi Ramli proposes to implement, as employers and businesses remain in the dark about its execution. For example, how will the PWM affect operating costs or how will the government ensure that productivity increases?

With the minister planning to table a White Paper on the implementation of the PWM in Parliament by the end of this month, many employers and business groups are concerned that crucial details have yet to be made public.
