Crushed by men team’s poor performance


THE long awaited badminton events at the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, China finally got underway on Thursday. However, our shuttlers suffered a disappointing exit in the men’s team event, succumbing meekly to the South Koreans.

Lee Zii Jia, who recently dropped to No 16 in the men’s singles world rankings, was unceremoniously dumped by World No 47 Jeon Hyeok-jin in three sets.
