I REFER to the report “A bond he didn’t expect” (The Star, Aug 2) about lawyer Ahmad Zaharil Muhaiyar who recounted his experience in helping an Indian woman in 1998 after she was arrested for shoplifting, and what happened 20 years later.
It was most definitely a heart-warming story and I hope there are many more kind and generous Malaysians out there.
