Top five should aim higher


KUDOS to the 28 public and private institutions in Malaysia on their impressive performance in the 20th edition of the QS World University Rankings.

Malaysia has the highest number of institutions among South-East Asian nations ranked in the latest edition. Universiti Malaya is the highest-ranked Malaysian institution, placing 65th (out of 1,500 universities across 104 locations) with an overall score of 68.7. Universiti Sains Malaysia (137th), Universiti Putra Malaysia (158th), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (159th) and Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (188th) were also in the top 200 list.
