MEDIA reports put the number of International students in Malaysia between 130,000 and 170,000 in 2022. Malaysia has a long-term goal to increase the number to 250,000 by 2025 – yet do we recognised them as a significant asset and treat them accordingly?

The most obvious contribution to the country is the foreign currency they bring in to pay fees and rent, purchasing goods and services, fostering growth in the tourism and hospitality sectors, as well as facilitating trade and investment opportunities.
