MANY Malaysians are lamenting the challenges and worsening state of our nation’s public healthcare system. Regrettably, their concerns are not far from the truth based on my personal experience.
The overcrowding and overwhelming demand at government hospitals, such as the University Malaya Medical Centre and Hospital Kuala Lumpur, have reached critical levels, stretching these institutions beyond their capacities.
