THE Occupational Safety and Health (Amendment) Act 2022 (Act A1648) was gazetted in March 16, 2022. However, the enforcement date, which was expected this year, is yet to be decided by the Human Resources Minister.
The new Act consolidates the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 (Act 514) and the Factories and Machinery Act 1964 (Act 139), which will be repealed.
