I AM deeply saddened by the passing of my fellow member of the Malaysian Inner Temple Alumni Association, the late S. Radhakrishnan, where both of us are life members of the said alumni.
Besides that, I am also obliged to extend my condolences to his family as he was my contemporary where we studied together at Maxwell School, Kuala Lumpur.
After completing his secondary education, he went on to become a teacher after which he left his teaching career to read law in the Honorable Society of Inner Temple, London, United Kingdom, the very same Inn where I too read law.
He was an active legal practitioner where he subsequently became Partner and Consultant in Messrs Shearn Delamore & Co.
He was very helpful in giving opinions to colleagues in the Bar who sought his advice.
He was one of the founding members of our Malaysian Inner Temple Alumni Association whose founder president was the late Tan Sri Datuk Haji Abdul Malek Haji Ahmad, the then former president of the Court of Appeal.
He contributed extensively to the expansion of the alumni, which is continuing.
The loss therefore is deeply felt not only by all the alumni members but also our current president, Datuk Faizah Jamaludin.
I would therefore wish to extend my deepest condolences to the bereaved family of S. Radhakrishnan.
