Include disabled needs in draft of FOI Act


CURRENTLY, the legal affairs division in the Prime Minister’s Department is conducting a survey on the proposal to draft a Freedom of Information (FOI) Act in Malaysia.

As a citizen who identifies as a blind person, I must point out that the drafting process must be carried out inclusively and engage different layers and segments of Malaysian society, including the disabled community.
