Cultivate a clean culture mentality

THE writer of “We have to clean up too?” (Text Us! column, The Star, Jan 30) is wrong to say that fast food restaurants should waive the 6% service charge if customers are required to clean up after having a meal. The 6% is actually a tax which is paid to the government.

I do not see anything wrong in cleaning up the table after a meal. This enables other patrons to be seated as quickly as possible.
