WHEN I have time to spare, I tend to ponder about my clinical encounters. One was with a 20-year-old lady who came to the clinic for STD (sexually transmitted diseases) screening.
To determine which test would be suitable for her, I asked some questions. Out of curiosity, I also asked why she wanted to do the screening. To my surprise, she said it was because she wanted to sell her eggs, and screening was required by the fertility clinic.
