Add one more amendment

BIODIVERSITY, Environment, Agroecology, Climate Change, and Habitats (B.E.A.CC.H ) congratulates the Federal Government for tabling the National Forestry (Amendment) Bill 2022, which would strengthen the National Forestry Act 1984, the main forestry legislation in Peninsular Malaysia.

Most forests in the peninsula are now located in permanent reserves. However, these reserves are under pressure to be excised for development despite the government stating that it is committed to sustainable forest management.
