CONGRATULATIONS to India and South Korea for lifting the prestigious Thomas Cup and Uber Cup respectively in the just concluded tournaments in Bangkok.
These are momentous achievements: It is the first ever time India has won the Thomas Cup, and it had been 12 years since the Korean women last won the Uber Cup. My salute to the young An Se Young, who fought to the last point even in pain – she displayed true grit!
