Pay attention to adverse effects on kids

I APPLAUD the Health Ministry’s decision and efforts to undertake the vaccination programme for children aged five to 12 years. Many health clinics and outreach centres have started the vaccination process, and the number of children getting their jabs is announced every day.

It must be a bittersweet decision for parents to allow their young children to get the Covid-19 vaccine, but I honestly think it is the right thing to do particularly since the Health Ministry recorded a 160% increase in Covid-19 infections among kids below 12 years of age in the past week or so.
