Senior citizens appeal for Sinovac booster dose

AS most of those who have declined the Pfizer booster shots are senior citizens, we urge the Health Ministry to allow us to be given Sinovac.

The ministry may claim that Sinovac has poorer efficacy compared to Pfizer, but we have read that the difference is only marginal. Since we were sort of “forced” to take Sinovac as our primary doses, all we are asking for now is to be given the same vaccine.

We have heard of the side effects of the Pfizer vaccine. Whether these are true or false, we are still fearful of receiving it for our booster dose.

The Sinovac situation is becoming farcical, as we have heard that private clinics are offering it for booster doses at ridiculously high prices.

As the Covid-19 pandemic has left a heavy toll on us financially, where would we get the money to pay for this?

Please, Health Minister, allow us to have Sinovac booster shots.
