AN article titled “Jurutera miskin (Poor engineer)”, which was published in a Malay daily recently, has created a buzz among those in the profession, including the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).
In the article, it was mentioned that graduate engineers were not only paid low salaries but that the salary scale has been stagnant over the past 20 years.
