We must fix labour issue


THE latest “Withhold Release Order (WRO)” imposed by the US Customs And Border Protection (CBP) agency on disposable gloves produced by a Malaysian company’s subsidiaries, purportedly due to alleged use of forced labour in manufacturing operations, ought to be cause for concern not only for rubber glove manufacturers but also employers in other sectors as well.

This is not the first time the CBP has issued a WRO against products exported to the United States by our corporate citizens.
