MALAYSIA is moving towards STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) education.
However, there have been complaints about fewer students opting for science subjects in STPM, as these subjects are deemed to be tough but those who have taken this challenge and done well in the STPM exam are not guaranteed placement in public universities.
