So difficult to get refund of deposit

I AM writing to the powers that be to humbly ask for assistance in solving a problem that I and probably a lot of other parents and couples are facing.

My husband and I placed RM20,000 in deposit for two venues for the wedding reception of our son that was planned for last year. But we couldn’t hold the receptions because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
