THE current spike in the number of Covid-19 infections and deaths is cause for grave concern. We are rapidly reaching breaking point when it comes to providing healthcare and support for Covid-19 patients. We must also not forget that there are many patients with other illnesses who need medical treatment.
Drastic times like this call for drastic measures. While the authorities contemplate whether there is a need for a full lockdown, the people must also do their bit by adopting effective means and measures to arrest the trend.
