THE alarming figures of 6,806 Covid-19 cases on Thursday (May 20) and 6,075 cases on Wednesday (May 19) have raised public alarm and many Malaysians now want the government to impose tighter restrictions or a full-scale lockdown, similar to what was done in the first movement control order last year, according to the result of a short poll conducted last night by the Institute of Strategic Analysis and Policy Research (Insap) via Twitter, that drew 3,489 votes in less than 15 hours since its launch. The poll showed 90% support for a full MCO when the National Security Council meets on Friday (May 21) afternoon.
