Anti-corruption plan needed


ON Sept 24, Datuk Seri Azam Baki, chief commissioner of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), said his agency had received 18 reports related to corruption in connection with the recently concluded Sabah state election. The reports included a case involving two individuals who were suspected of receiving money for distribution to voters.

Last week, he further stated that MACC has seen an increase in corruption cases related to leakages in government procurement that involved top leadership in government agencies.
