I REFER to the report “Pharmaceuticals partner up to develop Covid-19 vaccine” (The Star, July 1).

It is just a matter of time before Covid-19 vaccines come into the market. Clinical research on vaccines is usually conducted by the pharmaceutical company manufacturing it, as clinic doctors would be too busy to do the work. Hence, research will be done by a party with a “conflict of Interest”.
