LIFTING the movement control order (MCO) on May 12, in my humble opinion, would be premature. Currently, our rate for testing is less than 0.5% of the population. Despite this, about 3.8% of tests turn out to be positive.

Singapore has tested about 1.74% of its population, recording an infection rate of 15.6%. The majority of infections in Singapore has been among foreign workers who live in dense dormitory conditions.
