Hidden gem awaiting discovery

RECENTLY, I went to Sedili Besar in north-west Johor for a short anniversary celebration.

As a Singaporean, I usually visit the more mainstream and popular tourist destinations of this beautiful country.

This was my first visit to Sedili, a relatively unknown destination that is a gem awaiting discovery by tourists.

The resort I stayed at has an impressive fossilised beach which makes it an excellent place for one to appreciate marine geology.

Nearby, at the Teluk Mahkota beach, we had the whole stretch of pristine waterfront all to ourselves to enjoy.

I have been been to Europe and Australia and I think the beach experience I had at Teluk Mahkota is equivalent if not better than what I had in those Western countries.

One could also indulge in the endless view of the vast South China Sea and green headlands to the north.

Indeed, what I have described is just the surface of Sedili and I am sure it is a place with untapped tourist potential.

Malaysia is indeed an amazing country and I look forward to discovering another hidden tourist gem soon.

Terima kasih, Malaysia!
