AS the effects of climate change intensify, 27 countries have declared a climate emergency as of Feb 13,2020. Malaysia, however, is not one of them.

Despite the urgency for all nations to tackle the climate crisis, the latest United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP 25) in Madrid, Spain in December last year was a sad display of disconnect between science and discussions to deliver climate action.
