CIVIL group Aliran is deeply dismayed that, once again, the Security Offences (Special Measures) Act 2012 (Sosma), which allows for detention without trial, has been used.
This time it has been used against seven people, including Melaka state executive council member G. Saminathan, who is also Gadek (Melaka) assemblyman, and Seremban Jaya assemblyman P. Gunasegaran, over alleged links with the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) militant group.
