THE Federal Land Development Authority (Felda) was once a showpiece of Malaysia’s success in tackling rural poverty after its inception in the 1950s. What saddens me is its current state – from a cash-rich entity, it is now saddled with debts amounting to over RM8bil and an empty cashflow position.
