THE Federal Land Development Authority (Felda) was once a showpiece of Malaysia’s success in tackling rural poverty after its inception in the 1950s. What saddens me is its current state – from a cash-rich entity, it is now saddled with debts amounting to over RM8bil and an empty cashflow position.
With the appointment of the new management team, we are hoping for immediate change.
